Fenomech '81; Proceedings of the Second International Conference on Finite Elements in Nonlinear Mechanics, Stuttgart, West Germany, August 25-28, 1981. Parts 1, 2 & 3
Abstract
The present conference on the application of computer methods to applied mechanics and engineering problems covers the modelling of continuum mechanics problems with large deformations, Petrov-Galerkin formulations for convection and the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, the stability analysis of thin-walled plate and shell structures, buckling and postbuckling analyses of nonlinear, elastoplastic and membrane structures, finite deformation elastoplasticity and inelastic constitutive equations, and finite element approaches to large plastic deformations. Also considered are studies of plastic structures, inelastic problems such as concrete cracking and thermal ablation with pyrolysis, the application of finite element methods to fluid-structure interactions, numerical methods for transonic flow and large structural displacement problems, contact problems, computational techniques, finite element analyses of shells and plates, and nonlinear analyses.
