Investigation of a small low-directional antenna, situated on a circular cylindrical surface
Abstract
The radiation pattern of a small low-directional antenna, situated on an ideally conducting infinite circular cylindrical surface, is studied in relation to the excitation value of elements assuring a prescribed radiation level in a certain sector of angles of the meridional plane. The cylindrical surface is represented in the form of an aggregate of longitudinal and radial truncated electric vibrators and a small electric frame representing a low-directional Huygens element in free space. A method for obtaining a wide-angle pattern for a small low-directional antenna in the presence of a reflecting cylindrical surface is described.
