The limiting parameters of solid-state switches employing resonant waveguide arrays
Abstract
The limiting parameters of microwave-band switches implemented with a new rod-type waveguide multidiode system are examined using an equivalent circuit for the waveguide array and computer codes for the synthesis of switches and limiters. It is shown that the band-pass characteristics of multidiode switches correspond to these of an ideal single-diode waveguide-rod switch, and that the permissible operating power increases as the square of the number of rod pairs of the resonant array.
