Electromagnetic-wave scattering by a slot in a dielectric layer on an ideally conducting plane
Abstract
The method of integral equations is used to analyze the diffraction of E- or H-polarized waves by a slot in a dielectric layer; this layer is situated on an ideally conducting substrate, and the slot can be filled by another dielectric. The scattering characteristics are investigated for various parameters of the configuration, and the present results are compared with those for the case of scattering by an ideally conducting strip.
