Mutual synchronization of multimode semiconductor injection lasers
Abstract
Consideration is given to a two-element array of multimode semiconductor injection lasers which exchange electromagnetic fields. Internal nonlinearity coefficients of stationary mutual mode coupling are calculated in each of the lasers for the biharmonic and three-mode regimes of operation. The stability range, the pulling band, and the frequency of synchronized mode generation are determined for various values of the modulus and phase of the external coupling coefficient of the lasers.
