Investigation of the screening properties of a reflector in the form of a system of parallel conductors

An approximate method is proposed for calculating the near field in the shadow region for a reflector in the form of a system of conductors; the two-dimensional problem and the H-mode case are examined. The array of conductors is replaced by an equivalent surface with complex impedance, and the current on this surface is determined by solving a Fredholm equation of the second kind. A method for determining impedance is considered, and the near field in the shadow region is investigated for several versions of the reflector.
