Synthesis of an optimal multibeam antenna array with a straight-through optical-excitation circuit
Abstract
The paper describes a numerical method for the synthesis of a multibeam antenna array with a straight-through optical-excitation circuit, which makes it possible to minimize phase distortions simultaneously for all beams in a wide sector of scanning angles. This method was used to synthesize a linear 15-element equidistant array with a period d = 0.5. The method can also be applied to two-dimensional arrays with circular apertures.
