Extremum coding of information in counters with data compression
Abstract
The principle of extremum coding in counters with data compression is described. It is shown that extremum coding leads to a significant gain in dynamic range as compared with other available methods of data compression. The use of this approach in data transmission by a parallel binary code in the case of a limited number of telemetry channels is considered.
