The effect of reflections on a circularly polarized radio signal radiated from the sea surface
Abstract
An analysis is presented of the components of two waves the sum of which produces emf at the output of the receiving antenna: the direct wave and the wave reflected from the sea surface. This makes it possible to assess the influence of interfering reflections on the reception of circularly polarized signals. Recommendations are made on the choice of elevation for the radiation source.
