Frequency control of high-frequency quartz resonators
Theoretical and experimental studies are presented which lead to the determination of the dependence of changes in the frequency of quartz resonators with lens-type piezoelements on the location of local changes of piezoelement thickness. Expressions are obtained for calculating the sensitivity of the resonator to local variations of piezoelement thickness. It is suggested that the results can be used to correct the frequency of quartz oscillators during their tuning or operation.
