On the application of housekeeping data to ISS-b operations
Abstract
Analytical techniques developed to predict the attitude of the Japanese ISS-b satellite are described. Telemetered data for the sun-spin angle, the ecliptic ratio, the power generated by solar cells, and temperature readings on various spacecraft components are incorporated into a series of equations characterizing the spacecraft conditions at any one time. The parameters obtained permit optimization of the ISS-b functions.
