Orbit and attitude of ISS-b
Abstract
Techniques employed at the Kashima ground station to characterize the orbital and attitude conditions of the Ionosphere Sounder Satellite (ISS-b) are presented. An algorithm has been developed for automated calculations of the orbit, position, and attitude, which are essential for analyzing the sounding data. Examples are provided of long-term variations detected in both orbit and attitude, and steps taken to include the data in analyses procedures.
