Calculation of microwave field distribution in a rectangular waveguide containing a semiconductor rod
Abstract
The matching method is used to obtain a rigorous solution to the problem of the interaction of the H10 mode with a semiconductor rod in a rectangular waveguide. Analytical expressions are obtained for the distribution of microwave field strength in the waveguide as well as for the reflection and transmission coefficients of the incident wave. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data on a waveguide containing a silicon rod.
