Investigation of regular waveguides of arbitrary cross section by the method of equivalent sources
Abstract
The method of equivalent sources is used to analyze the characteristics of a regular waveguide with an arbitrary cross section. Natural frequencies are calculated for waveguides whose cross section is in the form of an equilateral triangle and an equilateral triangle with rounded corners; and natural frequency is investigated as a function of the corner roundoff radius. In addition, the error of calculating the eigenvalues of the transverse wavenumber were analyzed as a function of the location of sources relative to the waveguide surface and as a function of the number of sources.
