The scattering of an Epolarized plane wave by a finite number of coplanar strips
Abstract
Sologub (1975) proposed a method for investigating the diffraction of an Hpolarized plane wave by a finite system of metallic strip screens lying in the same plane. Using this method the problem was reduced to the solution of a Fredholm equation of the second kind with respect to the Fourier transformation of the surfacecurrent density in the plane of the screens with a smooth kernel of sufficiently simple structure. In the present paper, Sologub's method is extended to the case of Epolarization. As in the case of Hpolarization, the solution of the problem is determined by the function X(lambda) which is the Fourier transformation of the surfacecurrent density in the plane of the screens. In the present case, this function satisfies a pair of integral equations.
