Frequency fluctuations of radio waves propagating in a turbulent atmosphere
Abstract
A two-scale model of the spectrum of turbulence inhomogeneities is used to investigate frequency fluctuations of radio waves propagating in a turbulent atmosphere. It is shown that the frequency fluctuations are 'sensitive' to the value of the spectral index, and that in some cases it is necessary to take into account the value of the internal turbulence scale.
