A Tjunction of rectangular waveguides
Abstract
The Galerkin method is used to analyze a Tjunction of three waveguides in the E plane. Weighted Gegenbauer polynomials are used as the basis functions, which take into account the field singularity near the edge of the junction. This choice of basis makes it possible to develop an algorithm with rapid internal convergence and high accuracy for a small number of basis functions. The effect of isolating the logarithmic singularity in the kernel of the integral equation on the internal convergence of the algorithm is investigated.
