Energy transfer in the output cavity of a relativistic klystron
Abstract
The possibility of achieving high-efficiency energy transfer in the output cavity of a relativistic klystron is demonstrated. The achievement of this efficiency depends on the establishment of a specified relationship between electron momentum and phase of injection into the gap, and on the utilization of transit angles that are greater than in the case of nonrelativistic klystrons.
