Two equations of subsurface radar
Abstract
A theoretical study of the characteristics of radar sounding below the earth's surface is presented. The paraxial approximation of geometric optics is used to calculate the amplitude and power of radar signals reflected from a lumped target and an arbitrary structural surface in a layered medium with nonplanar rough boundaries. Two equations of subsurface radar are derived.
