Use of multibeam antenna arrays in adaptive systems
Abstract
The characteristics of the steady-state behavior of adaptive antenna systems are analyzed. The study is based on the matrix theory of antenna arrays of an arbitrary geometry with a rigorous calculation of radiator interactions. It is shown that by using a pattern-generating circuit in the signal processor in array-element channels, it is possible to obtain the maximum signal-to-noise ratio for a given antenna array, as well as fully realize the potential possibilities of adaptation.
