Errors in the measurement of thermal radiation flux density by a cooled radiometer
Abstract
A theoretical analysis of the error of an absolute infrared detector due to the thermal resistance of a blackening coating is presented. A multiplier is obtained which corrects for the error of modeling the radiation source by an equivalent internal electrical source. It is shown that allowance for heat exchange between the lateral surface and the surrounding medium does not change the analytical expression obtained by the solution of the one-dimensional problem.
