Microscopic study of elastic 28Si-28Si scattering and intermediate structure resonances in 56Ni
Abstract
Elastic 28Si-28Si scattering has been studied microscopically with special emphasis on quasimolecular and barrier resonances in high partial waves. Schematic application of the double resonance mechanism predicts intermediate structures in the excitation functions in qualitative agreement with the experimental data.
