The main accomplishment of the work is simple and empirical scheme of determining the radiation characteristics of straight xenon pulse tubes from the given geometrical and electrical parameters, which can be employed in engineering practice. The scheme is recommended for use in the development and application of pulse tubes under various power-supply conditions with a discharge length of more than 0.3 msec for the prediction of the energy characteristics of the radiation, integrated over the discharge time. The scheme is based on a complex of research, the conclusions of which are given.
