Some additional reflections on the viscous flow in a vortex chamber
Abstract
The equations for the mixing viscous component of the turbulent flow within a block pulley-shaped vortex chamber are rewritten in order to calculate the turbulent viscosity from the measurement of the velocity distributions. An actual example of velocity distribution evaluation is presented and compared with the results obtained using the distribution values of Escuidier's formula. A broken line method to approximate the turbulent viscosity is proposed.
