Investigation of the interaction of a shock wave with an array of plates
Abstract
An investigation is presented of the unsteady gas flow arising in the case of the incidence of a plane shock wave on a uniform array of semiinfinite prisms. It is assumed that the features of this phenomenon are analogous to those that characterize the interaction of a shock wave with a rigid porous wall. An examination of the experimental results makes it possible to evaluate the applicability of one-dimensional theory and the method of large particles to this interaction problem.
