The use of the method of generalized selfsimilarity for computing turbulent boundary layers
Abstract
A generalpurpose equation is formulated for a turbulent boundary layer and solved in the local singleparameter approximation, with the turbulent friction stress specified in terms of the Prandtl and Clauser formulas. The solutions to the equation, which need to be determined only once, are used for computing turbulent boundary layers with positive pressure gradients.
