Observations of the galaxies Markaryan 673 and 686
Abstract
Spectrophotometry and isodensitometry are reported for Mrk 673 and 686, galaxies with comparatively broad emission lines. The membership of these galaxies in certain classes of broad-line objects is discussed. In their low level of ionization both the nuclei in Mrk 673 resemble liners, except that they lack S(+) and neutral O lines, while O(+) is rather faint. The Mrk 686 nucleus is confirmed to possess Seyfert 2 indicators, but some of the lines typical of classical Seyferts 2 are missing.
