Proper motions of ultraviolet-excess objects.
Abstract
Proper motions of the ultraviolet-excess objects detected with the Kiso Schmidt telescope are determined in two pilot fields of the Kiso plates. Glass copies of the Palomar Sky Survey (PSS) are utilized as a counterpart in which the same fields were taken about 30 yr ago. The accuracy of the position determination on a single plate is about 0'!43 and 0'!33 for Kiso plates and PSS copies, respectively, and the total proper motions are obtained to an accuracy of 0".018 yr-1. Since there exist a considerable number of objects whose proper motions fully exceed the quoted error, nearby stars are dominant among the objects.
