Exact solutions of relativistic wave equations
Abstract
All the known exact solutions of the Dirac and Klein-Gordon equations for a charged particle moving in an external electromagnetic field are systematized and investigated. Certain general properties of the solutions are examined, including the relationships between solutions of the Dirac and Klein-Gordon equations. Spin operators for the Dirac equation are investigated. Exact solutions are considered for fields of special configuration, e.g., crossed electromagnetic fields, nonstationary crossed fields, and longitudinal fields. Finally, attention is given to methods for constructing relativistic coherent states for a charged particle moving in an external electromagnetic field.
