Technologies for the next European satellites

A payload technologies assessment program is currently being carried out by ESA. Attention is given to two missions involving the fixed-satellite service, i.e., the specialized services (or medium capacity) mission and the videocommunication (or high capacity) mission; and to a mission involving the mobile service, i.e., the narrowband mission. The missions are described along with the associated RF technologies.
