The frequency analysis of low amplitude delta Scuti stars - VII. HD 208664.
Abstract
HD 208664 (A9 III/IV) is shown to be a low amplitude δ Scuti star. A frequency analysis of more than 40 hr of observations shows that more than half the light variation in this star is contained in the frequency f1 = 21.199 day-1. Similarities between this star and the δ Scuti star θ Tuc are mentioned. It is demonstrated that the two comparison stars, HD 208580 (A8 IV) and HD 208680 (F0 III) both of which lie in the instability strip, show no variations greater than 3 m.mag peak-to-peak.
