Analog multipliers in radio-electronic equipment
Abstract
Analog multiplier integrated circuits are reviewed with reference to the methods of their design and manufacture, principal technical characteristics, tuning and control, and main sources of errors. Consideration is given to parabolic and logarithmic multipliers, multipliers based on amplitude modulation, multipliers based on variable resistors, and those based on differential transistor pairs. Examples are presented illustrating specific applications of multiplier integrated circuits in computer and measurement technologies, communication, and automatic control systems.
