A handbook of gasdynamic lasers
Abstract
Data bearing on the design and construction of gasdynamic lasers are presented. Examples of the results obtained from various combinations of parameters are included, along with information on the properties of materials used in the lasers. Also included are tables of the adjacent levels of molecules that can be used in selecting working mixtures. The quantum mechanical characteristics of gases are given, as are data on the kinetics of oscillatory exchange and relaxation. Sources of heat energy for the lasers are discussed, along with the nozzles, diffusers, resonators, and gasdynamic windows used.
