Heat transfer in a parallelogram shaped enclosure. II Free convection in infinitely stacked parallelogram shaped enclosure. III - Combined free convection and radiation heat transfer
Abstract
The laminar free convective heat transfer within parallelogram shaped enclosures is investigated numerically under the conditions that an infinite number of enclosures of the same shape are piled up vertically and that every parting plate has no thickness. The heat transfer coefficients on the hot wall are measured for air under the condition that the five enclosures of the same shape are piled up vertically and that very thin films are used for the parting plates. Parameter values are: Prandtl number 0.72, aspect ratios 0.25-2.0, oblique angles -pi/3 to pi/3, and Rayleigh numbers from 1 to 10 to the 6th.
