All-Union Conference on Laser Optics, 3rd, Leningrad, USSR, January 4-8, 1982, Proceedings
Abstract
Papers are presented on recent developments in laser technology and applications in optical systems. Specific topics include high-luminosity solid-state lasers, high-pressure waveguide CO2 lasers, the use of the electro-optical effect in crystals to control the spatial characteristics of laser radiation, an ultra-short-pulsed laser with adjustable parameters, polymeric materials for passive laser shutters, and a two-channel picosecond parametric spectrometer based on a neodymium-phosphate glass laser. Attention is also given to the use of Q-switched lasers in clinical ophthalmology, nonlinear dispersion in crystals for purposes of pulse compression, coherent processes in the presence of standing waves, an integrated optical photodetector, and precision measurements of gravitational acceleration by laser interferometry.
