Choice of mixing conditions in a CO2-N2-H2O GDL
Abstract
Population inversion and mixing conditions in a CO2-N2-H2O gasdynamic laser are studied on the basis of the numerical solution of the equations of gas dynamics and relaxation kinetics in the quasi-one-dimensional approximation. Gain and specific energy output are analyzed as a function of the nitrogen flow stagnation parameters. Recommendations on the establishment of mixing conditions with low relaxation losses and high specific characteristics are presented.
