An exact trajectory solution from Doppler shift measurements
Abstract
An exact trajectory solution from Doppler shift measurement is presented. Three Doppler shift measurements are sufficient to determine the range and velocity, and the angle between them, of a target in uniform rectilinear motion. The present solution is not conspicuously more difficult than the solution obtained by Levanon (1980), and is not subject to a systematic error increasing in proportion to the time interval.
