Moment method analysis of a T-shaped slot radiator in bifurcated waveguide
Abstract
A moment analysis technique is employed to study a transverse slot straddling the bifurcation in a slotted waveguide linear antenna array. Sinusoidally-based functions are used to establish the slot coordinate system, with the Green's function serving to determine the scattering parameters of the slot. A transmission-line model of the T-slot is developed, and a transverse resonance method establishes the fields within the slot. Comparisons of the model predictions with results for measured scattering produced by a T-slot in an X band bifurcated rectangular waveguide show satisfactory agreement.
