FIR digital filters for signals in delta-modulated form
Abstract
The implementation of finite impulse response (FIR) filters for the considered applications is discussed, taking into account several different procedures, each leading to a different implementation. The conducted analysis considers as a starting point the expression of the time response of a linear time-invariant filter by means of the convolution integral, giving attention to the impulse response of the filter and the input signal. For the case of a physically realizable digital filter the integral is transformed into a sum. The received signal in a delta-modulated form is considered. In most of the implementations, the specified impulse response of the filter is also in delta-modulated form.
