Tunable CO2 waveguide laser with high transverse mode and line discrimination
Abstract
A CO2 waveguide laser with a special resonator configuration is described. The resonator mirrors with curvature radii R are located at a distance R/2 from the ends of the waveguide tube. The properties of this resonator, such as transverse mode control and line discrimination, are discussed and measurements concerning the tuning characteristics and the laser output power are presented.
