Suppression of sidelobes in rectangular linear FM pulse compression radar
Abstract
Application of a cubic phase predistortion function to the rectangular transmitted pulse significantly reduces the peak time sidelobe level of Hamming weighted linear FM pulse compression radars. The time-bandwidth (TB) products are less than about 60 and the application yields a more rapid falloff of far sidelobes.
