Frequenzabhängige Steuerung der Aperturbelegung von Gruppenstrahlern
Abstract
Design rules are presented for the determination of distribution functions to hold the beamwidth sufficiently constant over wide frequency bands for a broadband array antenna. Control of the amplitude distribution is realized by increased attenuation at the outer elements of the array antenna for frequencies near the upper limit of the defined frequency band, which generally introduces a degradation of the array efficiency. Matching of the amplitude distribution by frequency-dependent control of the coupling of the junctions in the distribution network is shown to avoid this antenna degradation. The method is applied to examples to demonstrate its usefulness in distribution matching.
