Ein statistisches Modell für das industrielle Wachstum und seine Anwendung auf die Mikroelektronik
Abstract
An industrial growth and learning model is examined and applied to the field of microelectronics to distinguish two characteristic cases of relatively short and relatively long development times. A long period of development is separated into several short intervals and results are investigated. Various functions are examined, including increase in work volume, yield, scale of integration, power, development costs, length of time intervals, and all their mutual interactions. In addition, the conventional mathematical formulas for limited growth are shown to be special cases of the new model for growth and learning processes.
