A linear approximation applicability criterion in gasdynamics problems concerning the development of small perturbations
Abstract
Analysis of theoretical and experimental data shows that the use of linearized approximation in solving equations of gasdynamics is valid only up to a certain time scale. Thus, the validity of asymptotic formulas obtained on the basis of linear approximation on finite perturbations should be additionally verified against a time criterion
