Shaped wire antennas with maximum directivity
Abstract
The optimum shape of a wire antenna for maximum directivity is obtained by applying the method of moments and the simplex method for function minimization. Antenna shape is approximated by piecewise parabolas, and the effects of wire radius on current distribution are considered.
