Fast generation of Chebyshev filter prototypes with asymmetrically-prescribed transmission zeros
Abstract
A simple recursion technique is introduced for the fast and exact generation of the prototype polynomials for Chebyshev (i.e. prescribed-equiripple) transfer and reflection functions of the most general type. Even- or odd-degree characteristics with symmetrically or asymmetrically prescribed attenuation poles may be generated using this recursive method and some examples, including group-delay equalized and predistorted types, are given.
