The induced radiation of linear oscillators in a spatially inhomogeneous variable field
Abstract
The induced oscillations of a linear oscillator excited by a harmonic force over part of the oscillator's path are considered. The resonance curves and phase portraits for a dynamic system of this type obtained by means of averaging make it possible to consider a singleparticle model of an ensemble of monoenergetic oscillators, initially out of phase, interacting over part of the path with a highfrequency field. They also can demonstrate the possibility of induced radiation in such an ensemble. A numerical experiment with a mathematical model of the system is carried out without any simplification of the original equations. The experiment validates the findings of a qualitative investigation, which describes the way in which the radiation yield depends on the initial energy and on the time that the ensemble of oscillators interacts with the field. It is noted that this interaction mechanism can be employed in microwave electronics.
