Numerical investigation of a turbulent boundary layer for the case of a positive pressure gradient
Abstract
A numerical study has been carried out to investigate the effect of a positive pressure gradient and small Reynolds numbers on the empirical coefficients of the transition zone and boundary layer. Numerical results are analyzed using an algebraic model in which turbulent viscosity is a continuous function. The results are also compared with the Ludwig-Tillman experiment and numerical results of other authors, both with and without allowance for the positive pressure gradient.
