Construction of the reflector radio telescope TNA-1500
Abstract
The structural-design requirements of the TNA-1500 telescope are examined. The novelty of the design of the 64-m reflector of the TNA-1500 consists in the natural homological design of the frame, where the prescribed deformation law is assured by an appropriate choice of the structural scheme and stiffnesses of individual elements. This choice is made on the basis of the structural optimization of the frame in terms of the operational efficiency of the telescope. As a result, for a reflector mass of 750 tons, the distortion of the surface in the case of its inclination from the zenith to the horizon and under the effect of wind at a velocity of 15 m/s does not exceed 1 mm.
