French-Soviet data processing system for Arcad-3 experiments

In connection with a Franco-Soviet space research cooperation program, a Soviet-French system for processing Arcad-3 experimental data was developed. This data-processing system utilizes dual telemetry systems, including a Soviet system, known as 'TMS', and a French system, known as 'TMF'. Each telemetry system has its own onboard transmitter and its own worldwide receiving network. The Soviet data processing system is discussed, taking into account TMS telemetry, and Soviet processing of TMS telemetry. In connection with a description of the French data processing system, attention is given to a summary of hardware configuration, aspects of data acquisition and archiving, and details of telemetry acquisition. The procedures of French data processing are also examined.
